One of my foodie guilty pleasures just happens to be just around the corner where I live. For about two years or so now, right by Yonge and Finch stood a food cart, Kim’s à la cart. Quite popular with the pedestrians that passes by them, this little nook sells a variety of Korean street food. Each item priced anywhere from $1 – 3 for each serving, what’s not to like? It’s reminiscent of the street food of Manila. Instant foodie gratification the moment you need it!
Whenever I get a chance to pass by, I help myself with an order or two, my most favorite being the fish cake and osam (a skewered combo of squid ball and pork belly) swimming on spicy sauce. Today, I walked by them again and I could not resist to help myself with my favorites. As I wait for my food get prepped, I watch once again Korean sweet waffles form before me. The wait was not that long and I sat on my favorite bench to savor my food while it was still piping hot. Needless to say, I gobbled it all up in record time. I must confess, as I write this blog, I am thinking of walking by them again and have some more ;)
p.s.
The same business just opened another place up at Bathurst and Dundas by Scadding Court.
