One of the food events that I was in on my birthday was Foodee Toronto’s official launch. Organized by the Mint Agency, taking place at Brassaii, it was an interesting concept of curating some of the best restaurants in Toronto and making their food available for delivery for corporate functions. Why not? For most of my career, I do get stuck on those long meetings that I know it would lift my spirits if I get a gourmet meal to find my second wind.
Foodee has started this idea in Vancouver and has officially launched their Toronto arm last week. I have tried some of the restaurants that they featured, some are even my favourites. Just to give you an idea of the restaurants you can reach through Foodee Toronto, check out this list:
The North of Brooklyn (love their thin-crust pizzas!)
P&L Burger (the Philly is my favourite!)
The One That Got Away
Portland Variety
Grashopper
Butter Avenue
It’s All GRK
Belly Buster’s Submarines
Caplansky’s (pastrami so good)
The Good Press (one of the prettiest and most importantly, tastiest salads I have eaten came here!)
Porchetta & Co. (oh my…their porchetta sandwich is my kind of sandwich!)
The Pantry
I am placing the links to Urbanspoon so you can see reviews of these restaurants. I must say I wish I work downtown. I would surely push for this if I were the one organizing meetings and have this as an option. :)
And yes, the food during the launch was all this foodie could ever hope for. The best one I didn’t get to take a picture of. Lamb chops with mint pesto from Brassaii! So tender at the bite. It was only when I was contentedly savouring it that I remembered I didn’t take a picture of it. Must be the aroma that made me forget (insert bashful grin here…teeheehee). Brassaii would soon be an addition at Foodee Toronto. Check out their Restaurant List for more restaurants to be accessible soon!
Thank you Foodee Toronto for the invitation and keeping me in the loop!
